SUNPOWER - PAIN
FOR PROFIT 16 new songs of killer hardcore/punk inspired by early 80s US bands (think of Minor Threat, Circle Jerks, MDC, Bad Brains, ) with a tinge of late 80s UK hardcore (Ripcord, Heresy, )
YESTERDAY! TODAY!
TOMORROW? 4-WAY SPLIT Four great bands with a somewhat retro feel towards Hardcore, and although somewhat different in their approach, well suited with each other. Belgium's oldest hardcore punk band Capital Scum is mixing old school hardcore (American style) with British bulldoze punk. The Filth pick up where Capital Scum have left the trail and bring their own blend of street punk mixed with hardcore or is it the other way around? From the Baltic Sea area come this power punk band called the Crushing Caspars. Producing a sound similar to old New York crossover hardcore bands (Pro-pain) smothered with Dischargian influences. And last but not least the old school skate punk-hardcore band Scheisse Minelli(let by the American singer Sam) bring us a furious apotheosis of this four way musical destruction campaign. They unleash their fury in such a way that you can't do anything else then stand in awe at the amount of decibels that are being poured into your ears. We couldn't have asked for a better end to end all this mind-blowing chaos.
IRONBOSS - BAD
PREACHERS Ironboss kick this baby off with sleazy white thrash punk'n'roll flavoured with a handsome amount of oldtime hardrock. They definitely crash through their side of the 10" like a rollercoaster in heat. They even pull it off to blow you away with a superb cover of Grand Funk Railroad. Some help on this precious gem is given by their long time friend Wino (ex-Saint Vitus) of the Hidden Hand. On the other side we have Belgium's most hated and most wanted band of the century, The Bad Preachers. Their biker laced, high octane fueled motor punk is heavy enough to get anyone out of his bed in the morning. I can only say, always wear protection when listening to these guys. MONKEY3 - HYPNOS
69 Hypnos 69 delivers 2 brand new songs, one of which is by far the most rocking song they've done up to now, so watch out and get those dancing shoes shining bright. Monkey 3 torments the eardrums with a very hardhitting stoner version of One Upon A Time In The West unlike any other version you might have heared of this song. Oh, and it's long, ... very long!!! And yes, no need to ask, the great Malleus collective is again responsible for the artwork so we are sure to offer you a winner.
SUNPOWER -
SAY SOMETHING The Belgian answer to Dead Kennedys and Circle Jerks delivers their first full length record. Fifteen raging punk/hardcore songs that sound like they could have been written in the early 80s. The lyrics are great, a lot of songs with a political message against the great world leaders we have these days. Some good self reflecting lyrics to the current state of the punk/hardcore scene en the kids that are into it. Combined with the solid artwork and production this seriously is a band you should keep an eye on. This record rips.
LOS NATAS - CABRON Los Natas needs no introduction, I'm shure. The boys deliver an outstanding cover of Kyuss' "Allen's Wrench" and a great remix of 'Highway Sun', which can be found in its original version on their "Toba Trance" album. Cabron offer you vibrant, explosive rock with great strong melodic vocals, musically somewhere in between Hermano, QOTSA and Fu Manchu, with an extra dose of melody. A limited edition vinyl only release with some very cool Maleus artwork as the cherry on top of it all. Yumyum!!
CAPITAL SCUM -
100% GUILTY Capital Scum brings you eighteen tracks on one little shiny silver disk. Experience the buzz saw guitar sound, the pounding drums together with a crafty bass-line but especially the growling and extremely threatening vocals that have been laid down onto this CD. How can you call an 18-song juggernaut? The boys have tried to incorporate their newly found influences into their old school sound and after hearing this masterpiece you will have to agree with me that they have succeeded in that exploit in a stupendous way. Put this slab into your CD-player and be blown away by the awesome power of Capital Scum.
NO REASON WHY -
CAN'T STAND THE DARK This is fucking great material!!! With their old school sound and the power they put in to their music NO REASON WHY will definitely blow you away. These 11 songs contain enough energy to keep your engine roaring for a few days. Topped of with a good dose of melody this record is sure to get you dancin'.
BORN TO LOSE -
A JOHNNY THUNDERS TRIBUTE Johnny Thunders is
the essence of what it is to be a rocknroll guitarist. Of course he had
the drugs and the blond more than most but he had the riffs, I mean the
riffs to die for. He figured out the sweetest way to make a guitar sing.
He started the sleazy glam look of the Dolls which has inspired rocknroll
as much as his riffs. All of the great bands on this CD acknowledge this
man's importance and pay humble tribute resulting in a must have record
for anyone that's ever like The New York Dolls & Johnny Thunders.
HYPNOS 69 - PROMISE
OF A NEW MOON Hypnos 69, Belgium's premium space- psychedelic trio, is back with a vengeance. Those damn spaced out, psychedelic rockers have broadened their already wide horizons and incorporated some pop ("Paralyse"), country ("The Devil Knows My Name"), lounge ("Kaleidoscope Voyager") and a lot more psychedelica influences.
CAPITAL SCUM -
FREAK SHOW Capital Scum, the founders of the Hageland Hardcore movement, releasing their new seven inch on Rock'n'Roll Radio Records. Seven brutal tracks are ready to maim your hearing system. You have never heard the band sound like this. The band produced the seven-inch together with Agitators' mastermind Bart at his home studio. The result will astonish friend and foe because Capital Scum is back and here to stay!!!
BETWEEN THE LINES
- WAKE UP CALL This is vinyl version of the new Between The Lines album called "Wake Up Call" on Funtime Records. This album has an extra song to the CD-version ( Dance Hard Or Die ). Straight up, no-nonsense hardcore in the tradition of Sick Of It All and Strife. Definite old school stuff, with a modern edge.
THE HEARTACHES
/ THE AGITATORS A split-release by two Antwerp punk-Oi! bands. On one side you'll find The Heartaches (Now People Like You Recording Artists) with the songs "Rockstars and Upstarts" and "Do As You're Told". The other side contains The AGITATORS with the songs "Thrashtalker" and "Saturday night". Both bands have recorded at The Agitators-guitarist Bart's home studio.
HYPNOS 69 - TIMELINE
TRAVELLER Second release by these genuine rockers. This cd gives you everything you've come to expect from these guys, and more. Solid grooverock with a remarkable talent for song writing and a natural production make this record an absolute winner. So if you consider buying just one CD with your last money, this is the one to look for.
THE B-MOVIE RATS
- ROCK & ROLL QUEEN Californias answer to AC/DC is back. Besides the hardrockin riffs theres a lot of sleaze & glam, southern rock & bourbon to it. In its whole this is more southern rock than the HELLACOPTERS ever can achieve. 6 tracks including super poser pictures on the Godly format.
ZOLI BAND - ...
LIVE AT THE M.O.D.! Featuring Brett & Zoli from IGNITE. Recorded live at the M.O.D club in Hasselt, Belgium on 2 different concerts (December 2000 and May 2001). This band shows the musical ability of Brett & Zoli outside of Ignite. You will see that Zoli indeed has one of the best voices in hardcore. Musically this is totally different from Ignite though, leaning more towards the emo-indie rock side of the scene.
BAD INFLUENCE -
LAST CRIES Third full length by this vintage Belgian Anarcho punk band. Think ANTISECT, VOIVOD, AMEBIX, NEUROSIS mixed with some ambient soundscapes ( they even included keyboards on this one). Members have (or still do) played in bands such as RUBBISH HEAP, FRONT 242, DEAD MAN RAY, KISS MY JAZZ, and numerous others)
THE SPADES - UNTITLED The debut 7 from this People Like You band was released on extra thick 220 gr. vinyl. They sound like a mix between redneck thunder rocknrollers (HOOKERS, CANDY SNATCHERS, ZEKE) and heavyweights like ANTISEEN, SILVER TONGUED DEVIL. 4 tracks including a STOOGES cover Cock In My Pocket.

CAST-DOWN - THESE
AUTUMNAL TINTS This band started out as a emotional oldschool hc-band but has nowadays evolved towards a post-hardcore sound which is more rocking and melodic. However, this 7 " is the record it all started with; 4 Serene-like emotional hardcore songs. The bands very first official release, allready showing its talent, dedication and emotion that they are by now well known for.
EMETH - BREATHING
THE UNCLEAN Tracklisting:
1. Breathing The Unclean 2. Domination This 7" goes way beyond the boundaries of sanity. Insanity, you would call it? No, I just call it pure genius. Emeth brings you two songs of uncompromising fiendish metal core from a time when no one was paying attention to labels or musical types and hypes.
INNERFACE - OLD
PICTURES (& GOOD TIMES) Tracklisting:
1. Old Pictures (& Good Times) 2. Beam 3. Rewind (CD only) Check this by now disbanded band and be amazed at how well they profiled themselves between bands like Big Drill Car, All/ Descendents and Shades Apart by bringing together some original guitar-lines and song-structures without ever giving up in harmonies or trying to clone something. The CD has an extra song on it (Rewind).
